Aaron Brousard had his employees come back to work on Friday. Well, what do you know; there was NO electricity at the building I work at. We all had to stay around for about an hour and a half before we were told we could go home. You think they would have checked out the Parish buildings before he told everyone to come to work. DUH!
Brousard is just trying to curry favor with the resident's after his bungling of the Katrina situation. I don't think it will work. The residents of Jefferson are not that stupid. Other, more responsible, Parish leaders in the area are being more reluctant before putting their employees in harm's way. Just amazing!
Ladies and Gentlemen, it is time to move away from this retched place. We were given a mandatory evacuation order to get out. The costs of which we as individuals will have to pay. The Government at all levels is denying aid for lost wages, travel including fuel, and hotel costs; and lost business income. Lets take our tax dollars and get the hell out of this place.
By the way get ready for round two with Hurricane IKE.
Help! What about "Court" in St.Charles Parish? It's for child support enforcement, and it's my first court related issue. Would that fall under
"Charles Parish government offices" meaning that I have to show up Monday???
can anyone tell me how to contact LA unemployment can't get through on the phones and need to get my stuff filed. Thanks
Need to know how to contact La unemployment been trying for a week and have not had any luck and dont know what to do please help
I would call as soon as they are back in business, obviously you cant be held liable for not showing up if court is not in session because of the storm.
Patty721 wish I could answer your question about unemployment but I am having the same problem. I am broke after evacuating and did not receive my benefits last week. The call in system isn't working and thier website isn't working either. We are a forgotten group of individuals, no one has mentioned anything about those on unemployment.
Same problem here. Filed last Sunday the 31st and did not get my direct deposit. Now unable to file for this past week. Baton Rouge was hit hard and lost a lot of power, so think it may be a few days before we are able to file appropriately, even though this is much needed finances by us. There should be an alternate website for the ones who were currently unemployed at the time of Gustav. Wish someone in command would help us.
Educate yourself on the following important topics so that you may comprehend better what is happening around you:
HAARP- High Frequency Active Auroral Research
a project set up in Northern Alaska devoted to weather manipulation
CHEMTRAILS - Deliberate spraying of our skies with long plumes of toxic aerosol
PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE #51 - One of nastiest aspects of that criminal document called the Patriot Act
FEMA CAMPS - Internment camps set up around the country. Lots of documentation on this one.
Enjoy!
I did not get my unemployment either. The website is semi-working. You can now get to the point where you fill in the weekly claim but when you submit it it says the website is down. We will probably get both weeks at one time. I wish someone would advise. I also e-mailed the unemployment place and asked when the benefits would be posted. I will make another post if I find out the answer. Good luck to everyone on unemployment who was forgotten. Also, food stamps were posted for September on August 31, 2008 so you didn't have to wait to get them.
