Question? If there is no power in St Bernard how can the schools be opened? Next FYI TP there is only ONE Catholic school is St Bernard.

Much of Jefferson does not have electricity nor sewerage service available, so I guess schools will be reopened on a school by school basis according to utility availability and interior damage assessment, and NOT just a blanket reopening as the article states.

When will the sewerage lift stations get electricity? Schools cannot go all day with hundreds of kids and not flush! Raw sewerage backing up into schools would be a huge issue.

According to the FAQ email we got from Roussel, there will be pump generators at the schools for sewerage.
