New Orleans - The Loyola women's basketball will open up their 2008-09 regular season on Thursday, November 20th in the Jackson Rotary Basketball Classic in Jackson, Tennessee.

New Orleans, La. - The Wolfpack volleyball's team season may have ended this past weekend, but the awards continue to roll in. Mary Seals, Sarah Howard, and Gina Gill were all named to the GCAC All Conference Team.

New Orleans, La.- Wolfpack junior forward Nick Tuszynski scored a lay-up with 31 seconds remaining while being fouled and hit the ensuing free throw to push the Wolfpack to a 78-77 win over the Philander Smith Panthers Tuesday night at The Den. The victory pushed the Wolfpack record to 4-0 for the first time since the 1953-54 season.

Hattiesburg, Miss.- USM's Jeremy Wise scored a game high 23 points as the Golden Eagles defeated Loyola 75-51 in an exhibition game for the Wolfpack on Saturday night at Reed Green Coliseum.

New Orleans, La.- # 23 Mobile captured the 2008 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship, beating Loyola in straight sets, 20-25, 18-25, 17-25, ending the Wolfpack's season and clinching the Rams a spot in the NAIA National Championship Tournament.

New Orleans, La.- The Loyola volleyball team will have a chance to win back-to-back GCAC Volleyball Championships, punching their ticket to the final round with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-16) win over Spring Hill Saturday afternoon at The Den.

New Orleans, La.- # 23 Mobile earned the first spot in the 2008 GCAC Tournament Championship Match by beating Dillard 3-0 (25-17, 25-8, 25-15) Saturday afternoon at The Den.

New Orleans, La.- The Dillard Lady Blue Devils became the final team to advance to the GCAC Volleyball Championship Tournament semifinals by knocking the Belhaven Lady Blazers out the tourney 3-1 (21-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-18) Saturday morning at The Den.
